When purchasing a new computer either from an MSP or retailer you are often offered a warranty. Should you purchase a warranty for your computer. A warranty is essentially a risk management to avoid large expenditures during a specified time. We typically do not recommend warranties on desktop or tiny computers because most of the parts are readily available and universally compatible. If you are purchasing a laptop or 2-in-1 device you may want to consider it especially if you are traveling with the device. We recommend ADP warranties which protect you from drops, spills, and screen breaks which are the most common events when using a mobile device. Some warranties also offer onsite repairs and specific time periods for how quickly the device will be repaired. When purchasing a device ask for the warranty options and find out the details of the coverage and make an informed decision.
